Mar Badal, through her photography, tried to describe the life in Burkina Faso focusing on three aspects.

First, the ESSENCE of the people’s souls who are part of this beautiful place.

Second, the hard and unfair REALITY that some of the children have to face. The lack of a public and quality education makes working and helping their parents a priority. The time that they should play, dream or enjoy their freedom is taken away.

Finally, the coexistence of POVERTY and WEALTH throughout the different landscapes of this country. The uniqueness of nature makes an almost magical environment, something you can not verbalize but feel. Unfortunately, the enormous pollution and non-developed infrastructures, are also present in such precious territory.
